HCFS, Inc. is a Revenue Cycle Solution and Third-Party Eligibility Company hired by hospitals and hospital systems to (1) maximize their business office processes, (2) comply with regulatory requirements, and (3) minimize the amount of bad debt incurred from self-pay patients.  Our clients hire HCFS as a Business Associate to be Subject Matter Experts in these focused areas, and our Product Owner/Project Manager will work closely with stakeholders, customers and product development teams to advance multiple products to meet our evolving business needs. 


Your role, as our Product Owner/Project Manager, involves:

  • Ensuring all channels of communication (internally and externally) are open and the appropriate level of support is applied to our products
  • Keeping the product design and delivery in alignment with the business needs to deliver the expected return on investment
  • Participating in product architecture and design discussions to help improve products
  • Leading and translating the overall product strategy (i.e. product roadmap, communication and promotion of product capabilities, and operational readiness plans) into manageable product backlog
  • Leading Project Management activities including activity planning, sequencing, resource planning, developing schedules, time and cost estimating, developing a budget, documentation, monitoring and reporting progress and analyzing and communicating impact of scope or priority changes
  • Reviewing the product progress at the end of each iteration and accepts or rejects work completed
  • Collaborating with designers and researchers to help define user experiences
  • Ensuring product capabilities are maximized and reviewing the product utilization and capability success and investment return

THE “MUST HAVES” (aka the Minimum job requirements)

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in method, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
  • Ability to lead effectively across peers and executive levels
  • Excellent written communications and presentation skills
  • Proactive, engaged, can-do attitude with a demonstrated ability to get things done under minimal supervision
  • Analytic thinking and writing with the ability to ask the right questions and document the answers clearly
  • Very good teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with people from different SDLC maturity levels
  • Advanced computer productivity and project management software skills
  • Extensive experience with a structured software development methodology (such as Agile or Scrum)
  • 5 years of IT Products/Project Management experience is required
  • Consistent punctuality and attendance is required
