Overview

WHY WE NEED YOU:

HCFS is a Revenue Cycle Solution and Third-Party Eligibility Company hired by hospitals and hospital systems to maximize their business office processes and minimize the amount of bad debt incurred from self-pay patients. 

Our Eligibility Operations team proactively manages all possible third-party payer program solutions as an advocate for uninsured and under-insured patients. Our team's commitment and success will not only help relieve some of the patient’s financial burden - it will also generate additional revenue for the hospital while continuing to make HCFS a profitable organization.

Responsibilities

MORE DETAILS ABOUT YOUR ROLE:  Your role, as our Vice President of Eligibility Operations, involves the following:  

  • Effectively collaborating with all departments while representing the Company’s Core Values of Trust, Being Genuine, Providing a Collaborative Environment, Inspiring Unity and Expecting Excellence.  
  • Planning and directing all aspects of the Eligibility Department’s policies, objectives, and initiatives. 
  • Influenceing operational, financial and strategic results to enhance contract profitability and profit margin.
  • Collaborating with the Management Team to incorporate workflow solutions to maximum the financial and relational return of the Eligibility Department’s performance. 
  • Establishing process efficiency through report auditing and work trend analysis.
  • Addressing industry changes, competitive strategies or operational effectiveness in a proactive manner. 
  • Ensuring the proper compliance and execution of our existing contract terms.
  • Facilitating an environment of Trust and Professional Growth and promoting strong leadership practices within the department.
  • Providing consistent and intentional mentoring to develop the skill set of direct reports for growth within the Company; Clearly outlining expectations and timeframes to support the momentum of this growth.
  • Partnering with the Management Team to align the department goals and production with overall company goals and core values.
  • Maintaining and adhering to budgets while ensuring the financial stability and success of each hospital contract

Qualifications

THE MUST HAVES (aka the Minimum job requirements):

  • College Degree and/or 10+ years of experience in a Healthcare Operational Management role; Direct experience with Eligibility Programs and Processes is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience interacting with key hospital clients.
  • Solid understanding of third-party reimbursement programs or healthcare revenue cycle components.
  • Strong analytical skills to audit reports and offer proactive strategies to correct discrepancies in performance trends.
  • At least 5 years experience managing and developing a team that includes recruiting, reviewing and retaining top talent, and promoting a collaborative work environment.

Proximity to a larger airport is preferred for ease in traveland face-to-face collaboration.
